"Tony Clapes is a writer, lawyer, and management consultant who has written two books on the economics of software writing and the prospects of economic development in Hawaii. He has spent an extensive amount of time studying the Great Mahele and its consequences, the rise and fall of the sugar industry, and HawaiiĘs socio-economic history. This book project was born out of conducting a seminar for 5th and 6th grade students addressing why Hawaii exists as it does and why their futures largely depend on the motivations and decisions of the older generations.
Illustrator Yishan Li is a professional UK manga artist living in Edinburgh, Scotland. She has been drawing manga since 1998 has been published internationally."
