Sachi Fukuda, born and raised in Hilo, Hawaiʻi, was encouraged by her friends to publish Pupus: Island Adaptations, Pupus... Again, and now Pupus: An Island Tradition.
Retired from the Honolulu Police Department where she served as secretary to the chief of police for 35 years, Sachi Fukuda gives cooking demonstrations and conducts cooking classes.
