In front of a vibrant crowd at the Hawaiʻi Okinawa Center, we celebrated all the people who made this vital anthology possible. From poetry readings, to sanshin performance, singing, and art showcases, the creative diversity of this unique publication was on full display.

Contributors to the anthology talked story with the audience and signed custom bookplates. We enjoyed the chance to celebrate with each other. And of course, eat some delicious andagī too.
If you missed on the festivities, you can still get your own copy of CHIBURU: Anthology of Hawaiʻi Okinawan Literature at our online shop.
