Misty-Lynn Sanico is a Kanaka ʻŌiwi writer and editor from Honolulu, Hawaiʻi. Her work has appeared in Bamboo Ridge, Nonwhite and Woman, the Honolulu Star-Advertiser, and elsewhere. She writes and edits spooky tales and believes every good story leaves something behind.
Original story compiler, Rick Carroll, was an award-winning journalist for the Honolulu Advertiser and the San Francisco Chronicle, as well as a frequent contributor to the Los Angeles Times. His work received honors from the Society of American Travel Writers and the Pacific Asia Travel Association. Carroll authored numerous books about Hawai‘i and the Pacific, covering adventure, voyaging canoes, hula, island curiosities, and the supernatural. He authored over 20 book publications and his collected "talk story" accounts of the supernatural introduced 150 local authors to print through the six-volume Hawai‘i’s Best Spooky Tales series.
